After the last of my 4 Bouvier rescues passed, I found myself in a deep depression. I knew I had to have another Bouvier. My rescues had been three females and one male who stole my heart, I was determined to have a male. I contacted breeders from the East Coast to the West. Each call ended with there were no male Bouviers for sale. Constantly asking for referrals I was given a number for Margaux's Kennel, Sandi Lyon. The conversation was the same, no males. About a week later I was given another number, this was the cell phone for Sandi Lyon, she acknowledged we had talked but there were no males available. Several days passed and another number came my way, yes, once again it was Sandi. Needless to say, I was sort of embarrassed and Sandi was so understanding but couldn't create that male. Three weeks passed. I received a call from Sandi, she said I wouldn't believe this but a buyer decided on another dog in Maryland and she now had a male. I was on the first plane out the next day to Chicago. On the flight from Chicago to Alaska, we became inseparable. I refer to Zack as my Gift from God.

We learned together, I have never trained a dog, yes, we have many pets that crossed the Rainbow Bridge that we loved and cared for but the world of Dog Shows never entered the picture. Zack shined in Conformation; he was the Prince! From there we went into the Performance field where he excelled in anything that was asked of him.

Two months ago, at a Fast Cat run Zack was first on line. The adrenaline was high, almost impossible to hold him back. The flag was dropped and he was off to catch his prey. Half way down the run their machine stopped, Zack’ reaction was overwhelming, his first success in finally catching that Cat/Bag, he shredded the bag and broke the string before I could get to him. Total Happiness, best day ever! The crowd cheered him on😊

Zack is officially Retired from the ring and performance sports, now we cater to him and cherish every moment we have with him. Every morning starts with a total rub down, lots of stretching and butt rubs, his favorite. We spend time with walks, long trips to the beach, sitting in the sun, playing mock games with scent and lots of cuddling. We have been Blessed with this amazing boy.
