Scientific Advisory Members

Dr. Sara Thomasy DVM, PhD, DACVO UC Davis glaucoma researcher. She has been very supportive in her role as a consultant to the BHF on this topic and hopefully will provide us with the pathway to identifying a genetic marker.

Dr. Denise Bohn, DVM our veterinarian specialist, has worked with BHF for several years and is especially interested in helping develop a Bouvier database. Dr. Bohn is a founding member of the BHF.

Cynthia Thames, Bouvier breeder and long-time liaison with Dr. Stern and SAS research. She is also interested in helping in the development of a Bouvier database.

Maureen Benetti, MSN, FNP, BC, prior BHF board member 2018-2023, BHF secretary 2019-2023, will provide support, continuity, and guidance with the transition of the new members on the BHF board.
